Taiwan to build factory in Jordan

The secretary general of the economic affairs ministry in Taiwan Hio Cheing Beh has announced that his country will shortly establish a factory in Jordan at an investment volume of $ 20 million.
In a statement he made on Tuesday in Amman after his meeting with the chairman of the federation of the Jordanian chambers of commerce, he indicated that this new factory will be the 8th in Jordan, as there are 6 Taiwanese companies running 7 factories investing almost USD 50 million, most of them in textiles industries.
He said that his talks with the Jordanian officials dealt with means of developing and reactivating trade exchange between the two sides and the possibility of strengthening ties between Jordanian and Taiwanese establishments especially in the field of investment projects.
