Moroccan carrier ambitions 14% rise in traffic by 2005
Morocco, Business, 5/7/2002

The Moroccan carrier "Royal Air Maroc" ambitions to increase by 14% its traffic by 2005, said Mourad El Kanabi, an executive from the company.

RAM projects to significantly increase its traffic with Africa (by 18%), and to North America by 27%.

He went on that to meet the Moroccan target of attracting 10 million tourists by 2010, RAM has started a series of measures to develop direct sales, customer-rewarding actions, increase selling agencies in regions with a strong potential and adopt new products (special tariffs for families, couples, young people and the elderly).

After he underscored the harsh competition represented by 20 air companies servicing Morocco, the RAM executive said the company has decided to withdraw the old aircraft, operate new planes and increase the frequency of flights in some lines.
