The Arab League and Somalia

The Arab League has appointed the Omani diplomat Salem Bin Muhammad al-Khuseibi as a special envoy for Somalia to help for the reconciliation in this country which is torn by a civil war among warring groups. This will be made in coordination with the provisional government in Somalia.
In a statement issued in Cairo on Monday, the committee in charge of following up the situation in Somalia announced that this measure aims at completing steps towards achieving national reconciliation and stability in Somalia.
