OIC session to be convened in Turkey

The meeting of the 18th session of the follow up committee on economic and trade cooperation for the Organization of the Islamic Conference (COMSIC) will be held in Istanbul on May 10 and 11. It will be attended by delegations from Syria, Saudi Arabia, Palestine, Qatar, Kuwait, Iran, Nigeria, Pakistan, Burkina Faso and Turkey.

A statement released on Monday by the Turkish state planning foundation said that the Istanbul's meeting agenda will include developments pertinent to a work plan on of implementing economic cooperation and improving trade among the OIC member states and cooperations among the private sector, the investments carried out between private sectors, OIC investments, preliminary acts to hold a seminar on the role of the Islamic Bank for development as well as issues relating to the activities of the world trade organizations.
