Lebanese- Iranian cultural agreement

Lebanon and Lebanon on Saturday signed a cultural cooperation agreement between the two countries.
The agreement which was signed by the Lebanese minister of Culture Ghassan Salamah and the Iranian minister of guidance and culture Ahmad Masjaad Jamii stated to strengthen cultural cooperations relations between the two countries and fostering cooperation between artistic and cultural establishments and exchanging intellectual and cultural produce for the year 2003.
The Lebanese and Iranian ministers stressed the need of the joint presence of cultural activities in the two countries in various areas and opening new prospects for cultural cooperation for joint interests.
Meantime, Salamah and Hijatul Islam Mahmoud Iraqi, the chairman of the cultural league and Islamic relations in Iran discussed means of strengthening and developing cultural and scientific cooperation relations between Tehran and Beirut.
During their meeting on Sunday in Tehran, the two stressed their care to foster cultural relations and holding joint cultural gatherings. They also discussed the possibility of convening a joint cultural conference and a joint meeting for dialogue among religions.
