Maher receives phone call from Solana, Lebanese counterpart

Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Maher received a phone contact Friday from European Union (EU) Security Chief Javier Solana. During the phone conversation, Solana kept Maher posted on the outcome of the quartet meeting held in Washington on Thursday. Meanwhile, Maher received Friday a phone call from Lebanese counterpart Mahmoud Hamoud on the latest developments in Palestine and the issue of convening a meeting of the follow up committee on the Arab peace initiative in preparation for a ministerial meeting on the issue.
