EU backs Moroccan associations program with 5 mln euros

The European Union will contribute five Million Euros to the program of support to Moroccan professional associations, launched by the Moroccan Industrial federation (CGEM/employers'union).
The contribution is meant to back the Moroccan enterprises' endeavors to improve their competitiveness, the European Commission's delegation in Morocco said in a release.
The program, worth 6.55 million Euros, was set up in partnership with the ministry of commerce and industry to increase the operating capacity of the professional associations and industrial federations in Morocco, in order to improve the services they offer, and the enterprises' economic environment.
The managing board of the program held recently in Casablanca an information meeting, with the participation of several professional associations and industrial federations, the release says.
