Security council extends MINURSO mandate by three months

The United Nations Security Council on Tuesday extended the mandate of the MINURSO (United Nations Mission for the Sahara) by three months until next July 31.
The extension came under resolution 1406, passed unanimously. It will give more time to the council members to study the report submitted last February to the Council by U.N. Secretary General, Kofi Annan
