Israeli forces continue invasions, five Palestinians killed, hundreds detained

The Israeli forces on Tuesday continued acts of killing and destruction in the occupied Palestinian territories and several Palestinians were killed or wounded as a result.
The Israeli forces broke into Shawara village to the east of Bethlehem on Tuesday at dawn and arrested more than 20 Palestinians following a campaign of inspection and damaging houses of the villages. The Israeli forces also arrested the Palestinian Zaki Zabaa ( 50 year old) in Bethlehem under the pretext of helping in resisting the occupation.
An Israeli military source said that the campaign of arrest in Hebron covered 280 Palestinians under the charges of resistance and that Aley Hospital was besieged and several wounded persons wanted by Israel were detained. Al-Khalil municipality chairman said the Israeli forces destroyed several houses and ambulances and even hospitals were broken in or besieged by the Israeli tanks.
In Ramullah, fire was exchanged near the headquarters of the Palestinian authority as the government of Sharon broke an agreement to lift the siege imposed on Arafat after it had asked to include the names of Ahmad Saadat, the secretary general of the People's Front For the Liberation of Palestine and Maj. Gen. Fouad al- Shoubaki on the list of the four persons wanted under the charge of killing the Israeli minister of tourism Rahbaam Zeifi.
