Arab Bar Association to try the Israeli leaders
Regional-Israel, Politics, 5/1/2002

The permanent bureau of the Arab Bar Association has decided to start a people's trial of the Israeli leaders as war criminals on the ground of their crimes committed in the occupied Palestinian territories.

The chairman of the Jordanian bar association Saleh al-Armouti said the Arab Bar Association has recently "started to collect documents and information relating to the brutal crimes carried out by the Israeli leaders against the people of Jenin camp and other Palestinian cities and villages." al-Armouti explained in statements to the press in Amman that the Arab Bar Association will base its trial of the Israeli leaders as war criminal on international laws and legislation.
