Papal envoy to the holy lands

The Vatican announced on Tuesday that Pope John Paul II decided to delegate a special envoy to Jerusalem. This visit will be in the context of the Pope's interest to establishing peace in the holy lands and between the Palestinians and the Israelis.
The spokesman for the Vatican Yuwakin Valse said in a statement that the Pope's envoy Cardinal Roger Itchighari, the chairman of the Papal council for peace and justice will leave Rome for Jerusalem today.
