Powell talks on the telephone with Arafat

US White House spokesman said that secretary of state Colin Powell on Monday evening made a telephone call with the chairman of the Palestinian authority Yasser Arafat.
The spokesman said that Powell explained that he had discussed during this telephone call which lasted for ten minutes latest developments took place on Sunday.
