Moussa: Israel will pay a dear price for violating international law
Regional-Israel, Politics, 4/29/2002
The secretary general of the Arab League Amr Moussa has stressed that Israel will pay a dear price because of its violations of the international law.
Moussa added that the American bias to Tel Aviv aims at "imposing impossible Israeli peace on the Arabs." In a press conference he held on the sidelines of the activities of the second Arab media forum in Dubai this Saturday and Sunday, Moussa warned that all possibilities are there. He stressed that the discrepancy of the Arab states will not continue and that resisting occupation is a legitimate right and whenever military occupation does exist resistance will be there.
He added that the Arab peace initiative represents an Arab position telling the world and Israel that there is another road "which is away from violence and occupation and its implications which is complete Israeli withdrawal from all occupied Arab territories in the Golan, Palestine, and Lebanon and settling the question of the Palestinian refugees."
Moussa stressed the need of achieving effective Arab solidarity under the current critical conditions and to face a falsification campaign which targets to Arab citizens, the Palestinian issue.
On the other hand, Moussa stressed that the Arab position declared at the recent Beirut Arab summit is clear in that the issue of Iraq has nothing to do with so-called terrorism and that the decision of the Arab summit was that any strike against any Arab state is an aggression on all Arab states.
