Gulf states to meet mid May on ME

Leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states will hold a consultation meeting on the mid of May to discuss the grave developments in the occupied Palestinian territories and the reflections of the complete US alliance to Israel on stability in the region and the future of the American- Arab Gulf relations. This was expressed by a well-informed Gulf source in Riyadh to the United Arab Emirates UAE news agency.
He explained that the consultation meeting is periodical and pre-scheduled but the regional and international developments of events will impose itself on the agenda of the summit. The source said that crown prince Abdullah might brief the leaders of the GCC on the results of his talks with the US President George Bush and the efforts made by Riyadh to salvage the deteriorated conditions in the Palestinian territories.
