Jordan, Indonesia sign memorandum of understanding

The official in charge of exploration department at the Indonesian Partamina oil company Lein Takhian said on Friday that Indonesia this week signed a memorandum of understanding for oil and gas just after several days from signing a similar agreement with Iraq.
Takhian said that the a memorandum of understanding was signed with the Jordanian ministry of energy for cooperation in the fields of oil and gas during which the company proposed four area of exploration. However, no certain area was so far chosen, and Indonesia has not decided the volume of investment it will pump in Jordan.
Takhian also indicated that Jordan asked that Indonesian service companies to propose bids for their projects to import gas from Egypt and oil from Iraq.
Last Tuesday Indonesia signed an agreement with Iraq for oil excavation in the Iraqi western desert.
