Palestinian case part of National Security
Egypt-Palestine, Politics, 4/24/2002

Egyptian Presidential Political advisor, Osama al-Baz said Egypt wouldn't give up its role in the Palestinian case that is based on protection of Egyptian national security.

In a forum on the Egyptian role in Palestinian case at the National library, Baz called on Europe to take a more positive position towards the Palestinian case and to practice more pressure on Israel.

Israeli malpractices will not deter the Palestinian resolve to establish their independent state, he added.

Israel under Prime Minister Ariel Sharon does not want to establish peace with the Palestinians, added Baz.

The tragic incidents in the Palestinian territories have, though, granted the Palestinians a world recognition of their aspired for independent state.

Several UN Security Council resolutions were reached to request immediate Israeli withdrawal from Palestinian territories, which add up to the Palestinian legitimate rights.

The USA now views Palestinian case as a colonization issue, said Baz.
