ILO facts finding mission visits the Palestinian territories

The director general of the Arab Labor Organization (ALO) Ibrahim Qweider said that it was agreed with the International Labor organization (ILO) to send a high ranking mission including experts and specialists led by the ILO deputy director general to visit all the Palestinian occupied territories to investigate conditions and be acquainted with the sufferings of the Palestinians. The visit will take place on Saturday.
Qweider said that the mission will hold contacts to arrange a meeting with the chairman of the Palestinian Authority yasser Arafat and with the Palestinian minister of Labor and the Palestinian workers trade unions and leaderships in order to reports in details about the sufferings of the Palestinians and Israel's violations of the principles of the international law and international norms and agreements and human rights and guarantees ensured by the agreements of the ILO.
He added that the ILO mission will also then visit the occupied Syrian Golan heights and south Lebanon in order to be acquainted with the conditions of Arab workers there under the violations of the Israeli forces to the laws. He said he will be meeting with the mission which will arrive in Cairo on May 2nd to know about the results of its tour and its contacts in light of the report it will prepare on the social and economic consequences of the Israeli practices against the Arab citizens. The report will be discussed by the next ILO conference in Geneva in June.
