Morocco-USA, Politics, 4/23/2002
Morocco's King Mohammed VI, who received Monday in Washington Andre Natsios, Administrator of the US Agency for International Development (USAID), underlined the importance Morocco grants to the agency's action in the kingdom, mainly in matters of education, health and struggle against drought.

King Mohammed VI hailed, in this regard, the rigor and efficiency of the work conducted by the civil society in Morocco, highlighting the credibility and legitimacy of the associative movement and the new balance being sought to optimize the ngos' moves and the government action, that remains determining.
Natsios was accompanied by executive in charge of the Asia-Middle East bureau, Ms. Janete Ballantyne, USAID director for the Middle East and North Africa, Tom Oliver, and US ambassador to Morocco, Ms Margaret Tutwiler.
Minister of Foreign affairs and cooperation, Mohamed Benaissa, minister of economy, finance, privatization and tourism, Fathallah Oualalou, and Head of the Royal Office, Mohamed Rochdi Chraibi attended the audience.
