Jordan: arresting persons behind explosion targeted intelligence officer

The Jordanian minister of information Muhammad al-Edwan on Monday announced that persons who attacked by explosives by the end of February, targeting a high ranking official in the Jordanian security and resulted in killing two persons, were arrested.

The Jordanian official news agency quoted al-Edwan as saying that departments of the public intelligence were able to arrest the persons that carried out the attack and those who planned for it. "They are a cell of various persons" he said, adding that the arrested persons were brought before the justice.

A time bomb as placed between the car of the chairman of the terrorism fighting branch at the Jordanian general intelligence department Maj. Gen. Ali Barjaq and his wife's car before their house went off on February 28th and this resulted in killing one Egyptian worker and another Iraqi workers in one of the nearby restaurants.
