Jordanian King in London

After concluding his visit to Morocco, the Jordanian King Abdullah started a visit to Britain where he met with the British prime minister Tony Blair after he had on Sunday talks with the Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak in Cairo.
During his meeting with Blair which lasted for 30 minutes, the Jordanian King called for an immediate withdrawal of the Israeli forces from the occupied Palestinian territories and for re-building the Palestinian infrastructure, according to the Jordanian embassy in London.
In a statement, the Jordanian media section at the embassy said that during the meeting the two leaders discussed means of putting an end to the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian authority areas and lifting the siege imposed on the Palestinian President Yasser Arafat." King Abdullah indicated that he urged the "European Union to play together with the UK a greater role in the march for peace."
