Fahd: Israel's pullout is a deception to public opinion
Saudi Arabia-Palestine, Politics, 4/23/2002

The Saudi minister of information Foaud al-Farisi said following the weekly session of the Cabinet chaired by King Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz that the "Cabinet stressed the need of prompt action by the UN Security Council and the international community to force Israel to implement all UN agreements and resolutions provided for achieving just and comprehensive peace in the region."

Al-Farisi added that King Fahd explained that the "government of Israel every day shows non desire to achieve peace and further defiance to international efforts seeking to establish peace in the region, and this was crystal clear in its flagrant aggressions and continued occupation of greater parts of the Palestinian areas." Al-Farisi explained that King Fahd briefed the cabinet on the content of the messages, consultations, talks and communications the Saudi crown prince held at his residence in Casablanca.

The Saudi minister of information also indicated that King Fahd also talked about "the Israeli practices in deceiving the Arab and world public opinion about its readiness to withdraw from the residential areas and made of that a cover for it to continue its besiege of the Palestinian cities and to keep them under occupation."
