Eypt's strong position in support of Palestinians highlighted

The French newspaper Le Monde said on Friday that Egypt was taking a clear-cut stance regarding the American attitude towards the volatile situation between Palestinians and Israelis, highlighting President Hosni Mubarak's refusal to meet with U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell and Egypt's rejection of a U.S. request to condemn Palestinian martyrdom operations.
