Mubarak- King Abdullah discuss the Palestinian tragedy

Egypt's President Hosni Mubarak and the Jordan's King Abdullah on Sunday held bilateral talks in Cairo centered on the "catastrophic results inflicted by the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian areas," according to a source close to the Egyptian presidency.

The source said that the consultations between the two sides "fall in the context of joint Arab efforts at the regional and international levels and following the decision taken by the UN Security Council to send a fact finding commission to Jenin camp. The source added that members of the two delegations joined a lunch banquet held by President Mubarak in honor of the Jordanian King, during which talks were completed on the developments of conditions in the Palestinian territories and continued siege of the Israeli forces for the headquarters of the chairman of the Palestinian authority Yasser Arafat.

The Jordanian delegation includes prince Ali Bin al-Hussein and the chairman of the Jordanian Royal court Fayez al-Tarawenah. It was also attended by the chairman of the Egyptian presidency divan Zakaraya Azmi.

On Sunday evening the Jordanian King Abdullah arrived in Rabat -- Morocco where he had talks similar talks with the Saudi crown prince Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz, currently visiting Morocco. The talks held between the Jordanian Monarch and the Saudi crown prince come prior to the meeting to be held next Thursday in Washington between the Saudi crown prince Abdullah with the US President George Bush. It aims at discussing the Arab and international efforts aiming at forcing Israel to pullout from the Palestinian territories it had occupied since March 29th and to end its besiege of the headquarters of the Palestinian president Yasser Arafat in the West Bank.

On Sunday evening the Jordanian King left for London where he will hold talks today ( Monday ) with the British prime minister Tony Blair dealing also with the tense conditions in the Middle East. After London's visit, King Abdullah will return back to Amman.
