Beshara: American plan to transfer Arafat to Gaza

The Palestinian intellectual Azmi Beshara has unveiled an American proposal which states to transfer the headquarters of the chairman of the Palestinian authority to Gaza.

In an interview issued on Sunday by the Lebanese daily al-Mustaqbal, Beshara added that the said proposal was debated by the American administration to several Arab states.

On the other hand, the BBC on Sunday quoted the Israeli daily Haartez in its Sunday issue as saying that there is an Israeli military plan that states to break into the headquarters of the chairman of the Palestinian authority Yasser Arafat in Ramullah and then arresting him and evacuating him from the West Bank.
