Al- Assad holds a telephone call with Khatami

Syria's President Bashar al-Assad on Sunday made a telephone call with President Muhammad Khatami of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Discussions dealt with latest developments in the occupied Palestinian territories and "the need of continued coordination and consultation among the Islamic states in order to support the steadfastness of the Palestinian people."
Discussions also dealt with current consultations concerning the proposed meeting of the Organization of the Islamic Conference.
