Austrian businessmen show interest in investing in Egypt

Businessmen members of the Austrian Federal Chamber of Economy delegation currently visiting Cairo manifested an interest in setting up investment projects in Egypt.

The Austrian delegation urged increasing of mutual visits between businessmen and investors in both countries to get abreast of the investment, export and trade opportunities available.

This came during a meeting between Mohamed Al-Ghamrawi, Head of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI), and members of the Austrian Chamber of Economy with the attendance of Austrian ambassador in Cairo Ferdinand Trauttmansdorff.

The two sides agreed on Egypt's benefiting from the Austrian expertise in the field of investment via training and rehabilitating a number of GAFI experts in Austria.

GAFI is conducting four studies on the promising fields of investment in Egypt, including foodstuffs, spinning and weaving industries, ready-to-wear clothes and infrastructures fields.
