World gala over Egyptian museum centennial anniversary

Egyptian Minister of Culture Farouk Hosni agreed on holding a world gala early November marking the centennial anniversary of opening the Egyptian museum in Tahrir.

The gala will be attended by number of ministers, Arab and Foreign ministers beside those interested in tourism and antiquities in Egypt and the world.

Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities (SCA) Zahi Hawas said that the celebration will include four basic axes, the first group of scientific articles on the museums antiquity contents worldwide, the second is setting up temporary museum to display antiquities hidden in the museum store.

The third axis is organizing three-day conference on the museums art while the fourth axis includes the inauguration of some projects such as the second re hall of mummies which will be tendered for bid during the coming few days with the cost of L.E. 10 million and will include eleven mummies.
