Handball: Morocco trounces RD Congo in African championships opener

Morocco trounced RD Congo 39-23 Friday in an opener of the 15th African handball championships, which kicked off the same day in Morocco.
Morocco are drawn in Group A with RD Congo and Congo Brazaville.
The Moroccans will play their second match on Monday against Congo Brazaville.
Besides Morocco, DR Congo and Congo Brazaville, National teams of Tunisia, Algeria, Egypt, Senegal, Nigeria, Cameroon, Cote D'Ivoire, Angola are vying for the trophy.
The four teams that will make it to the semi finals will represent Africa in the coming world cup.
