Yemeni president for continued support to the Palestinians
Yemen-Palestine, Politics, 4/20/2002
The Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh has called on the Yemeni citizens to continue their support for the Palestinian people until they restore back their complete rights and establish their own independent state with Jerusalem as a capital.
The Yemeni news agency said that President Saleh stressed in a call he addressed to the Yemenis that the Palestinian people in the occupied territories "are facing today a racist war backed by a suspicious international silence towards the practices of the Israeli forces against unarmed and besieged people."
Saleh called on the Yemeni citizens to donate blood and money for the Palestinians and "to practically express their care and enthusiasm for their brothers in the occupied Palestinian territories."
