Saudi crown prince considers postponing visit to USA

Well- informed Saudi sources on Thursday abstained from confirming or denying the cancellation of the visit by the Saudi crown prince due to be held next week to the US. But these sources which asked not to be identified, remarked that the "Saudi position concerning the visit will be announced within the coming days."

The sources added that since the reasons for which the Saudi crown prince had postponed his visit to US last May (2001) are still there, these reasons might make him think of postponing the visit into a later time. However, an official Saudi decision to this end has not been issued yet.
