Handball: African championships kick off thursday in Morocco

The 15th edition of the African Handball Championships will kick off Thursday in Morocco with twelve African male and nine female national teams vying for the title.
Morocco is drawn in Group A with Democratic Congo and Congo Brazaville.
Group B musters Algeria, Cote d'Ivoire and Angola. Group C includes Egypt, Nigeria and Senegal, while Group D gathers Tunisia, Cameroon and Gabon.
The four teams who will make it to the semi-final will represent Africa in the coming world cup.
In the females championships, Morocco is drawn in Group A with Tunisia, Cameroon and Senegal. Group B is made up of Algeria, Democratic Congo and Congo Brazaville, while Group C musters Angola, Cote D'Ivoire and Gabon. (MAP)AO/
