Basic commodities price to be increased in Jordan

The Jordanian minister of finance Michael Marto said that the Jordanian government intends shortly to increase the prices of the basic commodities.
This effort is backed by the state in order to enable economic reforms under the supervision for the International Monetary Fund.
The minister said that the government intends "during the 10 coming days to increase the price of seven commodities at a very limited rate, noting that the decision came to meet the request of the IMF before launching a new programs of the economic reforms."
He explained that these commodities are "fuel, gas, kerosene, bread, and barley."
