EU Foreign Ministers to discuss measures for pressurizing Israel

The Foreign Ministers of European Union will discuss in Luxembourg today a wide array of measures for pressurizing Israel withdraw its troops from the Palestinian territories. The meeting will tackle the proposed German initiative combining Mitchell and Tenet plans and the Arab peace initiative that was raised during the latest Arab summit in Beirut.
Well-informed sources said it is not expected that punitive measures would be taken during the meeting, despite the fact that the ministers basically support the current peace mission by Secretary of State Colin Powell to the region with the aim of putting an end to violence.
