Chinese business delegation meets Moroccan official
Morocco-China, Business, 4/15/2002

A visiting Chinese business delegation, from the state-owned Norinco group, met on Thursday Moroccan minister of industry, trade, energy and mining, Mustapha Mansouri.

The meeting explored the possibility of partnership in electricity production, transport, oil research, chemical industry and public works.

The Moroccan official recalled how bilateral exchanges have been progressing and how the two countries have been exchanging business and officials delegations, crowned by the visit to China in February 2000 by King Mohammed VI, the Chinese president's visit to Morocco in 1999 and the trip to China by Moroccan premier, Abderrahman Youssoufi.

The Norinco group, which has sales of US$ 5 billion and employs 700,000 persons, is involved in financial, industrial, oil, electricity and public works fields.
