Syria denies to have summoned reserve army forces
Syria-Israel, Politics, 4/15/2002

The London- based al-Hayat daily said in its Saturday issue that well-informed sources denied Syria to have summoned the reserve forces in the Syrian army.

According to these well-informed sources, the paper added that Syria stressed its rejection to escalate conditions in the Middle East noting that Sharon seeks to provoke the Arab states through his brutal aggression against the Palestinian people.

Meantime, al-Hayat quoted western diplomatic sources as saying that the Israeli forces took position to carry out operations in south Lebanon and that one of the possibilities is to strike the infrastructure in Lebanon.
