US delegation visits Fez
Morocco-USA, Economics, 4/13/2002

An American delegation, headed by assistant to the US trade representative in charge of Europe and the Mediterranean, Ms. Catherine Novelli, visited Thursday the Moroccan city of Fez, and met economic operators, academics and civil society representatives.

During a luncheon-debate, the delegation was briefed on investment opportunities in the region, especially in agriculture and handicraft.

The delegation members said they want to get first hand information on the region's economic potentials, and the problems that may face would-be investors.

Ms. Novelli is visiting Morocco part of the third meeting held in accordance with a Moroccan-US Trade and Investment Frame-work Agreement (TIFA), signed in 1995.
