Al-Ahmar, Khaddam review with al-Barazani the brutal Israeli aggression, threats against Iraq

The assistant secretary general of the Syrian Baath party Abdullah al-Ahmar on Wednesday in Damascus received Mesout al-Barazani, the chairman of the Kurdistani Democratic Party in Iraq and members of the accompanying delegation, composed of members of the party's political bureau Azaad Berwari, Hashyar Zeibari, and Masrour al-Barazani and the party's chief of office in Damascus Ghazi Zeibari.

Discussions dealt with conditions and developments in the region in general especially situations resulting from the Israeli aggression and the terrorism practiced by Israel against the Palestinian people and its results and also the threats made against Iraq and the sufferings of the Iraqi people as a result of the siege imposed on them. Stress was laid on that the Iraqi people are the only ones that define the way for Iraq's progress and future away from any foreign interference.

On Wednesday morning the Syrian Vice President Abdul Halim Khaddam received al-Barazani and members of the accompanying delegation.

Discussions dealt with the brutal Israeli aggressions against the Palestinian people and its reflections on the situation in the region.

Discussions also dealt with threats made against Iraq. View points were identical regarding the need of lifting the sanctions imposed on the Iraqi people, alleviating their sufferings and rejecting any military acts against Iraq.
