ISESCO-UNESCO Convene Joint Committee

The ISESCO (Islamic Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization) and UNESCO (United Nations Scientific, Educational and Cultural Organization) started Tuesday in Paris a meeting of their joint committee.
During the four-day meeting, the ISESCO delegation, headed by vice-director general, Mohammed Hashem Falouqui, will be meeting executives from different UNESCO departments, to agree on a the 2002-2003 cooperation program between the two organizations.
The meeting will also assess the activities of the preceding cooperation program (2000-2001).
The two organizations are bound by a cooperation convention signed in 1984.
