Egypt said Israel should join the nuclear non-proliferation treaty NPT and all its nuclear establishments should be under international inspection.

The five nuclear powers should take necessary steps to force Israel into joining NPT.

In its statement to Preparatory Session for NPT review, ambassador Mahmoud Mubarak, Assistant Foreign Minister for International Affairs and Egypt's delegate to the conference, called for international support for Egypt's initiative for middle east free of mass destruction weapons.

The statement explains Egyptian efforts to achieve a world free of mass destruction weapon.
