Several southern ngos call Annan to intervene for immediate Israeli withdrawal from Palestinian territories

Several Ngos in the Southern city of Laayun called Sunday the United Nations Secretary General, Kofi Annan, to take immediate action to make Israel withdraw immediately from the Palestinian territories in compliance with Security Council's decisions.
In a memorandum to Kofi Annan, read out Sunday at an artistic event in the cultural center of Layun, the local sections of Afak association for Development and Awareness, The National Union of Moroccan Women, and the Association of Solidarity for Development stressed that in accordance with the United Nations charter and the international human rights declaration, the Secretary General should act to put an end to the serious human rights abuses perpetrated daily by the Israeli army against the Palestinian people.
Participants in the event, organized on the occasion of the world day of poetry, read out poems in classical Arabic and Hassani (Saharan dialect), where they condemned Israel's barbarous practices.
