Report: The future American war against Iraq

The International Herald Tribune has unveiled in its Monday's issue that the US defense department ( the Pentagon) has prepared detailed plans to transport the headquarters of its military leadership in the Gulf region from Saudi Arabia to Qatar in case al-Riyadh will refuse its territories to be used for launching a military attack against Iraq.

In an article issued on Monday, the paper said that the US has actually started, quietly to transfer planes and ammunition from Saudi Arabia and is making practical steps to minimize its reliance on al-Riyadh in case an attack will be made on Iraq, noting that Washington has started to install radar and surveillance equipment in al-Adeed base in the state of Qatar with the aim of establishing an alternative base for that in Saudi Arabia.

The paper indicated that the Americans are improving the military airports in Kuwait, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates and Oman in order to contain the future American air operations.
