Mauritanian president meets U.N Sahara representative

President Mouaouyia Ould Sid Ahmed Taya of Mauritania met Monday with William Lacy Swing, Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for the Sahara.
"I came part of a series of visits to the countries of the sub-region within the peace process in the Sahara," Swing told the press at the end of the meeting.
He said he was intending to come regularly to Mauritania to exchange views with President Taya on the Sahara issue.
