Al-Assad meets with Sheikh Hamad Bin Salman, Taha Yassin Ramadan

Syria's President Bashar al-Assad in Damascus on Sunday received the prime minister of Bahrain Sheikh Khaleifa Bin salman al-Khaleifa and members of the accompanying delegation.

The delegation includes Sheikh Muhammad Bin Mubarak al-Khaleifa the foreign minister; Sheikh Khaked Bin Abdullah al-Khaleifa the minister of housing and agriculture; Muhamad Ibrahim al-Mutawi the minister for the cabinet affairs, Rida al-Mosawi the minister of health, Abdullah Hassan the minister of finance and the national economy and the minister of information Nabil al-Homor.

The meeting was attended by the Syrian prime minister Muhammad Mustafa Miro, the foreign minister Farouk al-Shara and the ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Damascus.

Discussions dealt with conditions on the Arab and regional arenas.

The two sides reviewed fraternal relations between the two states and means of strengthening them.

On Sunday afternoon the President received the Iraqi Vice President Taha Yassin Ramadan and members of the accompanying delegation.

The delegation is composed of the Iraqi health minister Muhammad Mahdi Saleh, the oil minister Amer Muhammad Rasheed and the chairman of the Iraqi interest office in Damascus.

Discussions dealt with "the drastic conditions the Palestinian people suffer because of the inhuman practices committed by the Israeli occupation forces besides bilateral relations and means of developing them."
