Qaddafi and the Palestinian question
Libya-Zimbabwe, Politics, 4/8/2002
The Libyan President Muammar al-Qaddafi has stated that the heart of the matter that what is taking place in the Palestinian territories attributed to that (Jewish) groups came from overseas, occupied the lands and expelled the people and when the Palestinians fight to restore back their rights and return back their homes they were challenged by massacres and war of extermination as Israel is doing now.
In a speech he delivered on Saturday evening in a dinner banquet he held in honor of the President of the Republic of Zimbabwe, al-Qaddafi described the West protest against the will of the people of Zimbabwe to restore back their rights as rude.
On the other hand, the President of Zimbabwe Robert Moughabi described the situation in the Middle East as grave and denounced the comprehensive Israeli military aggression against the Palestinian territories and considered it as a terrorist aggression against the international legitimacy and human rights, calling for challenging this aggression by all possible means.
Moughabi stressed that the Palestinian question will discuss the coming African summit. He proposed the convening of a special African summit on the Palestinian question.
