King Fahd: The Zionist challenge is the first defiance Arabs and Muslims face

Saud Arabia's King Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz has stressed that the "Zionist challenge is the first and main defiance Muslims and Arabs are facing."
In an inaugural speech at the inauguration of the 4th conference of the Islamic worlds league in Mecca on Saturday evening, King Fahd warned against the Israeli aggressive schemes against Palestine, Jerusalem and al-Aqsa Mosque. In the speech which was read on behalf of the King by prince Abdul Majid Bin Abdul Aziz, the Saudi Monarch stressed that Israel should abide by international legitimacy resolutions and give up its aggression against the Palestinians and the holy shrines.
The King indicated that the challenges which are facing the Arab nation following the incidents of September 11 had a new trend which was exploited by enemy forces, seeking to make a scientific civilization coupe against Islam and the Islamic culture using Globalization means as an instrument for that.
Meantime, the secretary general of the Islamic World League Abdullah al- Turkey called for "a brave stand in support of the Palestinian people against the Zionist enemy."
He expressed his hope that the conference will give the right answer to the question raised by Muslims to the position of the Islamic nation concerning Globalization and explaining the Globalization of Islam.
For his part, the general Mufti in Saudi Arabia Sheikh Abdul Aziz Bin Abdullah al-Sheikh denounced the Israeli aggressions against the Palestinian people. He said that Israel and since more 50 years practices acts of killing and bloodshed, calling on Muslims to maintain solidarity with the Palestinian people. He warned the foes of Islam who try to undermine Islam and Muslims and doubt Muslims principles and morals.
The conference which will last for five days will discuss conditions in the occupied Palestinian territories and the sufferings of the Palestinians. The conference will also deal with the implications of Globalization and challenges facing the Islamic nation.
