Australia willing to deploy troops on Palestinian territories

Australia announced on Sunday it will be ready to send its soldiers to the Middle East region in the framework of the peace keeping mission in the Palestinian territories.

News reports quoted the Australian foreign minister Alexander Downer as saying to the Australian radio "Australian Broadcaster Corporation " that if sides concerned in the Middle east want Australia to play a more active role it will be happy to study all suggestions.

He said that his country is experienced in the peace keeping operations in various parts of the Asia, in remarks to the Australian soldiers existed in East Timor who constitute the greater part of a world peace keeping force in the said area.
