Special meeting today of the human rights committee on the Middle East
Palestine-Israel, Politics, 4/5/2002
The chairman of the UN committee in defense of human rights said on Thursday that the committee decided to hold a meeting today in Geneva dedicated to discuss the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories.
The Palestinians, Arabs and Muslim representatives in the committee asked for this meeting because of the drastic deterioration of conditions in the Palestinian territories and the siege imposed by Israel on the Palestinian President Yasser Arafat.
