Middle East Church Council condemns Israeli aggression

The Middle East Church Council Wednesday lashed out latest Israeli military operations in the Palestinian territories as well as the killing and humiliation of Palestinians.

It also showed strong opposition to any disregard to sanctity of religious sites, referring to Israeli forces that siege the church of nativity in Bethlehem.

In a statement, the Council deplores the Israeli inclusions as well as the incessant bombing of Ramallah as well as other Palestinian towns, which resulted in many innocent Palestinian civilians having lost their lives.

It also stands against denying thousands of Palestinians access to water, food and medicine as well as blocking ambulances access to victims that could result in a leap in the death toll among Palestinians.

Israeli savage acts reached to a fever pitch, when refusing burial of the dead, as the hospital morgues are crowded with corpses, the statement added.

The Council also called on the governments and the churches to exercise pressure on Israel to halt its( mal practices) that breed violence and intensify the environment of tension and wars.
