Al-Assad meets with Saudi crown prince, Murphy

Syria's President Bashar al-Assad on Tuesday received prince Khaled al-Faisal Bin Abdul Aziz, prince of the district of Aseer in Saudi Arabia and also the chairman of the Arab "intellectuals" forum and members of the accompanying delegation.
The Saudi prince gave explanations about the Arab forum and its set objectives. The President stressed the importance of challenging the onslaught targeting the basics of the Arab culture.
Also the President on Tuesday afternoon received at the Damascus al-Shaab palace the US former under secretary of state for the Near East affairs Richard Murphy. Discussions dealt with regional and international issues.
