Iraq: the Arab states discuss possibility of convening a new summit

News reports quoted the Iraqi foreign minister Naji Sabri as saying that the Arab states discuss the possibility of convening a new Arab summit to withstand the deterioration of condition in the Middle East.
He added on the sideline of the meeting of the Organization of the Islamic Conference in Kuala Lumpur that there are at the meantime contacts and initiatives in order to convene an Arab summit or an emergency meeting for the Arab foreign ministers.
He continued that no meeting was decided yet for this phase.
At the same level, Palestinian officials said on Monday in Kuala Lumpur that a proposal was made to convene an Arab summit in Cairo in order to discuss the Middle East crisis.
